Next week in Reading we will continue our new unit, “Animals Live Here” with the story, "Armadillo Orange.  We will discuss reality and fantasy.  In Phonics, we’ll learn the letter Nn as in nest, nap, and necklace.  Please practice the Phonics word list that is coming home today with your child.  It will be tested next Friday, November 4th.  Students will be introduced to the penny in Math.  We will also continue to work with shapes and numbers 0-10.
 

A big thank you to the parents who came in to help at the Halloween Party and Parade!  We would also like to thank all the parents that sent in Halloween treats for the class.  Finally we would like to thank you all the parents who came to watch the Halloween Parade. Our students were so excited to see so many people who they knew!   
 

On Thursday, November 10th we will be having our Guidance Lesson on Personal Body Safety with Mrs. Clarissa Geary. 
 

Last week we were able to Skype with our computer teacher Miss Kraft in Africa!  Please ask your child about this fun learning opportunity!  We will try to Skype Miss Kraft again next week!

Parent teacher conferences are Tuesday, November 1.  If you requested a conference and did not receive a time please let us know as soon as possible! In order to accommodate everyone conference will only be about 5 minutes!  

Since the weather is getting cooler, please have your child practice putting their coats on themselves and zipping/ buttoning them.  Thank you!
