Mrs. Kaminsky's Homework

Students will be dismissed at 11:45 on Wednesday, November 23rd!  School will be closed Thursday, November 24th until Monday, November 28th for Thanksgiving vacation!  We hope everyone has a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving!  Enjoy the time off with your child!
There will be NO HOMEWORK this week!  Enjoy!

Due to the short week, we will not begin a new letter in Phonics.  After Thanksgiving, we will learn the letter S as in smile, sun, and snake.  Word List 4 will come home on Friday, November 18th and will be tested on Friday, December 2nd.  In the upcoming weeks we will compare objects by weight, practice patterns, and start using geoboards in Math.

This week we will continue to talk about Thanksgiving and complete lots of fun activities!  On Monday we will make Native American necklaces and vests.  On Tuesday, we will make butter and cornbread.  On Wednesday, we will celebrate Thanksgiving with our 4th grade reading buddies!  Students will have a snack and watch the movie “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.”

Thank you to everybody who sent in a non perishable item for the Feed A Friend Project.  The class was very excited about the idea of helping somebody in need.

On Tuesday, November 29th, a letter to Santa will be coming home for you to complete with your child.  Please return this letter by Monday, December 5th.  On Friday, December 9th a postman will pick up the letters at school and take them directly to Santa at the North Pole!

Family and Friends are invited to attend the Christmas Concert which will be held Monday, December 12th at 9:30 in the North Schuylkill High School Auditorium.  Kindergarteners have been practicing their songs and are very excited to share them with you!
