Your child has an envelope of sight words. These sight words should be practiced every night. Please keep this envelope in your child's folder. We will be adding to the envelope as the year progresses.

Picture Day is on Friday, September 7, 2012. Please remember to return your child's envelope by Friday.
Our class will shop at the Book Fair on Tuesday, September 11.`If you would like your child to purchase book at the Book Fair, please send money in an envelope with your child's name, my name, and amount of money, and Book Fair on it.
Our class will be meeting our 4th grade reading buddies from Mrs. Nestor's class. These children will be paired up to read a story to your child every Thursday. All the children enjoy this activity.
Please be sure to encourage your child to write their name the proper way. Students should NOT write their name in all capitals. We understand that some students need practice writing it the correct way, but the first step in helping is making sure we are consistent at home and at school.
Please sign and return the "Rock Our World" permission slip by Friday.
