Next week in Reading we’ll read “Abuela.” This fictional book is narrated by a Hispanic-American child who imagines she's rising into the air over the park and flying away with her loving, abuela (grandmother). From the air, they see Manhattan streets, docks, an airport, and tourist attractions. We will be discussing city adventures. Students will learn about setting. Please be sure to review your Family Times when it comes home next week.

In Math we’ll explore tangrams. We’ll also practice measuring using nonstandard units and making graphs.

We are trying to get students outside for recess as much as possible! Please be sure that your child has a warm jacket, gloves, and hat!
