·         For Reading we will continue with Unit 3 with the story Then and Now.  It is a nonfiction book and we will talk about the comprehension strategy “draw conclusions”.  We will also work with the initial and medial short /o/ sound and the letter Oo.   Practice new high frequency sight words; you, of, and they!

In math, we will begin Topic 6: Numbers to 100.  Review counting, reading, and writing numbers 0-20 and ordering numbers forward and backward.  Also practice counting by 1s and 10s to 100.             



Tuesday, February 4^th is our tentative 100^th day of school!  We will be planning a celebration.

Report cards are scheduled to go home on Thursday, January 29^th. Be sure to SIGN and RETURN the report card ENVELOPE.   REPORT CARDS DO NOT NEED TO BE RETURNED—JUST THE SIGNED EMPTY ENVELOPE.
