For Reading, we will read the story, Abuela by author Arthur Dorros.  This will be the last of our “adventure” stories for Unit 4.  It will be a fiction story about a city adventure and the boys and girls will learn a few Spanish words.  We will focus on the comprehension skill, setting.  We will review the sound of short /e/.
For Math, we will continue with Topic 9; Composing and Decomposing Numbers to 10.  Students will learn different ways to make 4 through 10 and write number sentences to show these different ways.   Review practice pages as they come home in the folder.

The March AR/Book Buddy recording sheets are due on Wednesday, April 1st.  (The goal for the month is 16 books.)
Tuesday, March 31st is the last day of the marking period.  Report cards for the 3rd Marking Period will be sent home on Thursday, 4/2. You may KEEP the report card itself, but please sign and return the envelope.

Kindergarten Graduation Pictures will be taken on Wednesday, April 8th.  (There will be NO make-up picture day!)  Envelopes were sent home last week with portrait package information.  If interested in purchasing pictures then please return the money by Tuesday, April 7th .  (Cash OR checks made payable to Lifetouch.) All students will be photographed for the class photo and will need a WHITE COLLARED shirt to wear under a graduation gown.  Girls should NOT have ponytails high on their heads or wear big hair accessories since they will be wearing a graduation cap!
If you do NOT wish to purchase pictures, please send a note stating that, so the teacher knows your child just didn’t forget to bring the envelope/money.  Thank you!!
