We will be reading the story Little Panda by Joanne Ryder.  This is an informational text, and we will be talking about “Animals Grow and Change”.  The comprehension skill we will target is compare and contrast and we will work with the letter sounds of /n/ and /b/.


In Math we will begin Topic 3:  Numbers 6-10.  Students should be practicing writing numbers from 0-10 correctly and continue counting by 1’s to 100.  Take some time at home to review the daily practice pages completed at school.

Students will need to be prepared for colder weather at recess.  Warm coats, gloves or mittens, hats and/or scarves are needed.  Recess is a half an hour and unless the ground is snow-covered or it is too cold we will try to get outside for “fresh-air”.

Kindergarten Physical Exams will be held on Thursday, December 10^th.  (If you received a purple form, then please return ASAP.)

Brainshowmania sponsored by the PTO will be held on Friday, December 11^th in the NSE gymnasium for students during the day (Kindergarten @ 1:10) and for a “Family Fun Night” @ 7PM.  All are welcome to attend the evening show!!!

”Bowl for Kids Sake” donation pledge envelopes are due back to school by Friday, December 10^th.   Students are encouraged but not obligated to participate in this fundraising activity.  Students will bowl during their gym classes.     Thanks for your help!
