For Reading we will begin the story The Little Engine That Could by Watty Piper. It is a classic fantasy story, and we will be talking about how trains move. We will be learning about the comprehension skill, plot.
In Math, we will begin Topic 10. Topic 10 will take composing numbers further from 11-19. Continue to practice with addition and subtraction too!
Kindergarten Graduation Pictures will be taken on Thursday, April 26th. (There will be NO make-up picture day.) Envelopes will be sent home with portrait package information next week. If interested in purchasing pictures then please return the money BEFORE Wednesday, April 25th in your child’s folder. (Cash or checks made payable to PSP.) All students will be photographed for the class photo and will need a WHITE COLLARED shirt to wear under a graduation gown. Girls should not have ponytails high on their heads or wear big hair accessories since they will be wearing a graduation cap.
Friday, April 20, is a Spartan Dress Down Day for $1.
Kindergarten Graduation will be held on Tuesday, May 22nd at 1:00 pm in the NS High School Auditorium. Specific details about parking, seating, etc. will be sent home closer to the date. Due to limited seating, each Kindergarten student will be limited to 5 tickets. If a small child (non-school age) is going to sit on an adult’s lap, they will not need a ticket. Your Kindergarten child is not part of the count. No one will be admitted to Graduation without a ticket. Graduation tickets will be sent home closer to the date of graduation. If tickets are misplaced, we will not be able to replace them.
Spring pictures or money should be returned as soon as possible.
