There is no school for students on Monday, January 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

For Reading this week we will read the story, The Lion and the Mouse. We will introduce the comprehension skill, main idea.

In math, we will continue working on comparing numbers from 0-20.

Report cards will be sent home on Friday, January 24.  Please sign and return the envelope.  The report cards are for you to keep.

Just a reminder:  January AR “Book Buddy” recording sheets will be due on Friday, January 31^st.  The goal for the month is 15 books.  Any student who reads and records 15 or more books will receive a Pizza Hut reward coupon.  Happy Reading!!

Hip, Hip, Hooray! Our 100^th day is just several school days away!!!  On Thursday, January 30th, students are asked to dress as if they were 100 years old! (Please note that if school is cancelled, the 100^th day will be moved to the next school day.)
