This week we will learn about the letter "Oo".  The letter "Oo" makes two sounds--short o as in octopus and long o as in overalls.
In math, we will be learning about patterns, shapes, graphs, positional words, and counting.  Kindergarteners should be able to count to 100 by the end of the year so please practice this skill at home.
We will be meeting our 4th grade reading buddies from Mrs. Nestor's class.  Reading Buddies will read to our class every Thursday.
Please be sure to encourage  your child to write their name the proper way.  Students should NOT write their name in all capitals.  We understand that some students need practice writing it the correct way,  but the first step in helping is making sure we are consistent at home and at school.
Our School Book Fair is being held this week.  Students will be able to buy books on Wednesday, September14.  If you would like your child to purchase books at the Book Fair, please send in money in an envelope with your child's name, my name, amount of money, and Book Fair on it.
