Friday- No Show and Tell this week

In Phonics we will be learning about the consonant Vv and its sound as in vowel, violin, and valentine. Word List 13 will be tested however the list will not be sent home prior to the test. At this point in Kindergarten students should be able to read the words without practice. There will be no Show and Tell for the letter Vv.

In Reading, we’ll continue with Unit 4 and read “One Little Mouse.” When one little mouse goes in search of a new place to sleep, what does he find? Two moles, three frogs, four quail, and a forest full of animals willing to open their hearts and homes to him. But like most travelers, this little mouse finds there is no place like home! We will be discussing animal adventures. Students will learn about consonant blends and sequence. Please be sure to review your Family Times when it comes home today.

This week is newspaper in education week.  Please look for my ad in the classified section.
