For Reading we will read the story, My Lucky Day, by Keiko Kasza.  It is an animal fantasy story and we will focus on the comprehension skill cause and effect. We will review the /l/ sound and connect it with the letter Ll. 

In Math we will finish Topic 7: Understanding Addition.  Review vocabulary; number story, join, plus sign, and addition sentence.  Continue to practice joining sets and counting how many altogether.  Next we will be working on Topic 8 –Understanding Subtraction.

The 3^rd annual NSE Chinese auction will be held at NSE this year on Saturday, April  16^th and Sunday, April 17^th.  Every student will receive a free sheet of tickets if they attend the auction.  Donations of prizes are greatly appreciated!!
