For Reading we will continue with the story Rooster’s Off to See the World by Eric Carle.  It is an animal fantasy and we will be reviewing the comprehension skill,sequence.  We will review the initial /h/ sound for the letter Hh.  Review high frequency sight words daily!

In Math we will continue with Topic 7: Understanding Addition. Students will learn to join two groups and tell how many there are altogether.  They will learn how to use the plus sign and the equal sign and learn about addition sentences.  Please review daily lessons.

If you haven’t already returned your child’s activities’ yearbook picture form, please do so as soon as possible. PTO will be taking group pictures and class photos for the yearbook in the AM on Tuesday, February 9th.

 NSE PTO Gertrude Hawk Fundraiser Orders and Money are due by Thursday, Feb. 11^th.  Make checks payable to North Schuylkill Elem. PTO. 

On Thursday, February 11^th we will be having our Valentine’s party from 1:30-3:00. Valentines will be “delivered” the day of the party, so be sure to bring them to school before 2/11! 

There is no school for students on Friday, February 12 and Monday, February 15.
