November 6-10
As we begin to finish our second month of school, you and your child should be practicing the following things daily:
--sight words
--orally counting from 1-100
--writing numbers from 0-20

In Math we will be working with Topic 1:  One to Five.  Students will be counting sets of objects to 5, writing numbers 1-5, comparing sets, and representing numbers to 5.  Take some time to review daily worksheets.

In Reading we will read the book Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman.  We will be discussing hibernation and will learn to differentiate between real and make believe.  The words we, my, and like will be reviewed.

The weather is quickly changing and the days are getting colder!  Be sure your child has a jacket, mittens or gloves, and a hat for recess. We try to get outside whenever possible—if dressed properly, the fresh air does us good!!!  Also, have your child practice putting on, taking off (pulling sleeves back out), and zipping/buttoning his/her coat.

There is NO data delay for the month of November.

Book orders are due November 20.

LUNCH CHANGE for Monday, November 6---Alfredo chicken over pasta OR cheeseburger.
