We will be reading the story Little Panda by Joanne Ryder.  This is an informational text, and we will be talking about “Animals Grow and Change”.  The comprehension skill we will target is compare and contrast.  Many boys and girls may be interested in checking the live Panda Cam at the San Diego Zoo from home at the following website: http://www.sandiegozoo.org/pandacam/ Practice high frequency sight words daily! 

For Math we will begin Topic 3:  Numbers 6-10.  Boys and girls will learn how to read, write, and count numbers from 6-10 and show numbers in different ways.  Take some time at home to review the daily practice pages completed at school.  

AR/Book Buddy recording sheets for December will be due back to school on Wednesday, December 30^th.  Any student who reaches the goal of 15 books will receive a Pizza Hut Book It slip.

Book orders are due December 11.

Our class Holiday shopping day is Thursday, December 7.  Envelopes are in your child's Friday folder.

Our Christmas concert will be held at the HS on Saturday, December 9.
