March 5-9
Practice the following:
- sight words- writing numbers 0-20- counting to 100- letters and sounds

In Reading we will begin an informational text titled If You Could Go to Antarctica, by author Fay Robinson.  We will practice the comprehension skill, classify and categorize.
In Math we will be continuing with Understanding Addition, Topic 7.  Review daily practice pages and continue to practice joining sets and counting how many altogether. 
Spring Pictures will be taken at NSE on Friday, March 9th.  ALL Children will be photographed and pictures will be available for purchase in 7-10 days.  PSP provides the school with a donation for every portrait package.  For best results do not wear green!!!  Students may dress up!
Report cards will be sent home on Monday, March 12.
Kindergarten registration for the upcoming, 2018-2019 school year will be held the week of March 12- 16.  Registration is open to all residents of the NS School District.  Please pass along this information to anyone with children ready to begin Kindergarten in the fall.  Appointments should be scheduled with the office.
The PTO Spring Fling Chinese Auction will be held on April 14th and 15th.  Our class’ theme basket will be “Ice Cream Sundae”. Donations are due to the teacher by Friday, April 3rd.  If a family would rather not shop for a donation, monetary donations will be accepted and Mrs. Kaminsky will shop for items for the basket.  There is no value set and you can be creative!!  Thank you in advance for your support!
Newspaper in Education Week is a program sponsored by the Pottsville Republican & Herald to promote interest in the newspaper in our schools.  It will be starting on Monday, March 5th and continue through Friday, March 9th.  Check for Mrs. Kaminsky's ad in the CLASSIFIED section of the newspaper.  Ads can be sent to school during the week for treats.  The I’m a Reader forms, for those who participate, should be returned to the teacher by the following Monday (March 12) with a parent’s signature and initial for each day of the week.
