Please continue to practice:
--counting to 100--word lists (tested every Friday)--writing numbers 0-20

In Reading we will begin the new story A Bed for the Winter by Karen Wallace.  It will be an informational text.  We will discuss Fiction and Non-Fiction, winter homes, and work on the comprehension skill, sequence.

We will begin preparing for “Thanksgiving”.  During the next two weeks, students will learn about the first Thanksgiving, will make pilgrim and Native American/Indian costumes, and will begin to learn a poem or song for the holiday.  We will make a Thanksgiving bracelet and will also discuss being “thankful”.  The students will even get to use a Native American name for a day!

In math, we will begin comparing and ordering numbers from 11-20.  Please practice counting, recognizing, and writing numbers from 0-20.

Friday, November 16 is a Spartan Dress Down Day. Donation is $1.

There is no school for students on Monday, November 12 in honor of Veterans Day.

Wednesday, November 21 is a 12 noon dismissal for students.  Students will return to school on Tuesday, November 27.
