November 5- 9
As we finish our second month of school, you and your child should be practicing the following things daily:
--sight words (tested every Friday)
--orally counting from 1-100
--writing numbers from 0-20

In Reading we will read the book Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman.  We will be discussing hibernation and will learn to differentiate between real and make believe.  The words we, my, and like will be reviewed.

In math, we will discuss 2 dimensional shapes and 3 dimensional shapes.

The weather is quickly changing and the days are getting colder!  Be sure your child has a jacket, mittens or gloves, and a hat for recess. We try to get outside whenever possible—if dressed properly, the fresh air does us good!!!  Also, have your child practice putting on, taking off (pulling sleeves back out), and zipping/buttoning his/her coat.

Report cards will be sent home in your child's SPARTY folder on Friday.

There is no school for students on Monday, November 12.

Book orders are due Tuesday, November 13.
