There is no school for students on Monday, October 14.
As we begin our second month of school, you and your child should be practicing the following things daily:
--sight words
--orally counting from 1-100
--writing numbers from 0-10
In Reading we will begin to read the story Nature Spy. We will be looking at what we can learn about nature when we look closely. We will focus on learning the comprehension skill setting.
In math, we will continue working on numbers 0-5.
Be sure your child has a jacket, mittens or gloves, and a hat for recess. We try to get outside whenever possible—if dressed properly, the fresh air does us good!!! Also, have your child practice putting on, taking off (pulling sleeves back out), and zipping/buttoning his/her coat.
AR/Book Buddy recording sheets for October are due on Friday, November 1. Any student who reaches or exceeds the goal of 15 or more books will receive a PIZZA HUT BOOK IT coupon!
Friday, October 18 is a Spartan Dress Down Day for $1.
