October 28-November 1
As we begin to finish our second month of school, you and your child should be practicing the following things daily:
--sight words
--orally counting from 1-100
--writing numbers from 0-20

In Reading we will read the book Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman.  We will be discussing hibernation and will learn to differentiate between real and make believe.  The words we, my, and like will be reviewed.

In math, we will continue working on numbers 0-10.

Book Buddy recording sheets for October are due on Friday, November 1.  Any student who reaches or exceeds the goal of 15 or more books will receive a PIZZA HUT BOOK IT coupon!
The Pizza Hut coupons did not arrive yet. As soon as they do, I will them home.

Be sure your child has a jacket, mittens or gloves, and a hat for recess. We try to get outside whenever possible—if dressed properly, the fresh air does us good!!!  Also, have your child practice putting on, taking off (pulling sleeves back out), and zipping/buttoning his/her coat.

Thursday, October 31th will be the school-wide Halloween parade/party. The parade will be streamed live. Your child should NOT wear his/her costume to school!  Please send the costume to school in a bag with your child’s name on the outside.  Students will get dressed in costumes in the classroom.  Keep in mind students will be dressing at school, so keep the costumes as simple as possible.

Report cards will be sent home Friday, November 8 in your child's SPARTY folder.
